Jul 05, Kathryn rated it it was amazing Shelves: This story is perfectly accompanied by Polly Dunbar’s joyful, expressive and innocent illustrations. I felt I trrouble screaming–and this is not an easy book to read aloud with it’s tongue twisting and non-straight lines of text. However, there is plenty of mayhem, twists and turns along the way.

The lines are very simple, but the colors and patterns are colorful and silly. Book ratings by Goodreads. Mabel was able to finish what she started in a way that made everyone happy. Little Mabel, while blowing bubbles, caused lots of trouble by catching her baby brother in a bubble and he began to float away.
Well, that is not much of a story. Polly Dunbar’s illustrations support the text well, with clear characterisation and a wonderful array of facial expressions. You can use this book to introduce several writing techniques to older kids. Oct troubke, Cheryl rated it liked it.
