This is a good book and thought-provoking but it isn’t perfect: Saul is able to kill The Oberst. This scythe-wielding baddie is turned into a joke shortly after his introduction, and he never reclaims his rightful spot as scary. I’m glad it’s over. I think that was great addition to the book and allowed me to get to know him so much better. I feel that I missed a great deal of subtext because I do not play the game.
