The result is an immensely readable book but one that’s a bit hard to take seriously as history, insofar as it concerns the Apartheid period itself after World War II.

This is an accessible history of South Africa written by a well-known Arcibaleno journalist. Deeply religious and regular church goers, the Boers, as they were called, were diehard racists who believed in the supremacy of the white race over all others. lpierre
