That was new to me. Other books in the series.

Las relaciones de los personajes no aportan grandes sorpresas, todo el mundo se comporta como se espera que se comporte, todo es muy previsible. Like, he doesn’t really get it? Oh my god oh my god oh my god this was pretty gooood.

Las huellas imborrables (Patrik Hedström, #5) by Camilla Läckberg (3 star ratings)

Las huellas imborrables se acaba de posicionar como mi favorito de la saga hasta el momento. This book was translated from Swedish to English and it was translated so well, I could not tell the difference. This book had so many characters that it was hard to keep them all straight, especially listening to the audio imborrable.

Reluctantly Erica must read her mother’s wartime diaries. Mar 15, Montse rated it liked it. Not only does she walk huellad talk plausible if the child is an early developer but she can also identify different colours. For those who are history deprived, Sweden was neutral during World War II — a period covered in flashback in this novel — but it supplied raw materials for Nazi Germany.

A book about ikborrables past and the decisions made as young men and women that haunt people into their final years. Rachel After having read up to this one, I would advise reading in order. That was what saved me in the end. Will there be many spoilers? Some comical moments as he adjusts to life as a st 3. I think maybe my mood did not match this book.

Excellent and it kept me intrigued. I could never figure out how Erica’s mother could have been a teenager at the end of World War II and still have been young enough to have been Erica and her younger sister’s mother when they were born. I did like the relationships in this book. It has a dumbing down result that just kills any entertainment value for me. This is a translated literary mystery.

Her first four novels all became Swedish bestsellers. However, a course in creative crime writing became the trigger to a drastic change of career.

Las huellas imborrables

I unpacked most of the plot about half the way through unusually for me but I liked the novelist’s spin on the domestic arrangements of the police trying to balance work with a new baby and adjust gender roles. What am I saying? I just cannot get enough of her writing! It also made us think of how we would have reacted in their circumstance and the good and bad about wanting imbkrrables kind of retribution for the past.

Secrets that threaten Erica today.

Apr 01, Sandra rated it it was amazing. Lord, I’m still stuck in Sweden. This is the fifth book in the Patrik Hedstrom series. I enjoyed this one somewhat more than the previous books. This is my first time reading a Camilla Lackberg novel. This one connects an incident in World War II with a current murder and a mysterious trunk found in the attic.

Whilst I was able to figure out most of the secrets early on, I still enjoy and would recommend. I think partly due to better translating, and partly to the emotional twist that took place in this story. This is why I’m not a writer.

I love the straight forward style and all that coffee! Frankly, I’m not a particular fan of Nazi occupation stories because I’ve read so much and the stories are horrific and similar.

In going through the possessions of her departed mother, Erica is surprised to come upon a Nazi Medal.

Erica is a crime writer, mother and wife to Detective Patrick Hedstrom. But I was able to follow them as well as the well-fleshed out secondary characters.

Much was said about the effects of the war in Sweden, and the political consequences that still resonated.

The dark past is coming to light, and no one will huellws the truth of how they came to be Her thrillers are right up my alley! I liked the author’s set up in the beginning. The people are ok, but not all that bright and frankly, also tedious and a bit small minded, IMHO. The author knows how to tell events that can allow the audience to paint a picture in their heads.
